A can of cream of mushroom soup can be a real dinner saver. It works great in casseroles and can turn into a sauce or gravy in a pinch.

1 pound Italian sausage links, sliced
3 boneless chicken breasts, cubed
1 cup chopped green bell pepper
1 cup chopped onion
2 teaspoons dried Italian seasoning
1 can (8 ounce size) mushroom stems and pieces, drained
2 jars (26 ounce size) meatless spaghetti sauce
hot cooked pasta
Add the sausage, chicken, bell pepper, and onion to a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Cook, stirring frequently, until the sausage and chicken are browned. Drain off any excess grease then transfer the mixture to the crock pot.
Stir the Italian seasoning, mushrooms, and spaghetti sauce into the crock pot. Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 3 hours or until heated through.
Adjust the seasoning as needed with salt and pepper and serve over your favorite pasta.
