Cool Frosted Pineapple Pudding Cake

ingredients
1 yellow cake mix, plus ingredients to prepare
1 can crushed pineapple
1 package instant vanilla pudding mix
8 ounces Cool Whip, thawed
directions
Mix and bake cake mix as directed. Place into large baking pan. Pour pineapple (juice also) over cake.
Prepare vanilla pudding according to directions. Pour over the layer of pineapple. Spread Cool Whip over top and garnish as desired.

What size of pudding mix, large or small?
When a recipe doesn't give a specific size for an ingredient you should use the "most common" size. In this case, the smaller size pudding is the one you see with more flavors available, more shelf space, etc at the store.

I made this cake and it was a hit. Perfect for summer! I used a yellow cake mix and followed the directions on the box. Then I poked holes with a knife handle. Then I used chunk pineapple that I blended to make crushed and poured juice and all over the cake. I had a french vanilla pudding mix which I used and a whole 8oz carton of cool whip. My family loved it! It tasted better after refridgerating a few hours as well. Yummy!! It has become a staple dessert for my house. It was super easy thanks!
I very much want to try this recipe but have a ? What size cake pan. When you say "large", do you mean a 9 X 13? Thank you in advance.
