Texas Tornado Cake

ingredients
1 1/2 cup sugar
2 eggs
2 cups fruit cocktail, including juice
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 cups flour
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup chopped nuts
Texas Tornado Cake Icing
1/2 cup butter
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup cream
1 cup flaked coconut
directions
Mix and cream together sugar, eggs, fruit cocktail including juice, baking soda and flour. Pour into lightly greased and floured 13- x 9- x 2-inch pan. Mix brown sugar and nuts together and sprinkle into batter.
Place in oven and bake at 325 degrees F for 40 minutes. Spread icing on cake while hot.
For Texas Tornado Cake Icing: Boil the butter, sugar and cream for 2 minutes. Add coconut.
Spoon over cake as soon as cake is removed from oven. Cut into squares when cool and serve.
