ingredients

DOUGH

1/2 tablespoon yeast
3 cups bread flour
1/4 cup sugar
3/4 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons oil
1 egg, room temp
1/2 cup warm milk
1/2 cup warm water

FILLING

1/4 cup butter, melted
3 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons brown sugar
1/4 cup nuts, chopped
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

STICKY TOPPING

1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup nuts, chopped
1/4 cup melted butter
2 tablespoons corn syrup

directions

Place dough ingredients into bread machine pan in order listed. Select manual or dough setting.

Mix sticky topping ingredients and spread evenly on bottom of nonstick 13"x9" or 9" round pan. After the machine has completed the second rising, it will beep.

On a lightly floured surface, roll or pat to 12"x9" rectangle. Brush with melted butter. Combine sugars, nuts, and cinnamon; sprinkle over dough. Starting with shorter side, roll up tightly. Pinch edge to seal. Cut into 12 slices.

Place on greased 13"x9" pan. Or cut 9 slices, throw away the two end pieces and place in 9" round pan, with one in the middle and the rest arranged around the outside. (looks real nice) Cover; let rise in a warm place until almost double in volume, (about 30 minutes).

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Bake 20-25 minutes.

Carefully turn out rolls and serve immediately.

In reply to Guest Foodie regarding "recipes call for the liquids first what is the purpose of this and is it going to create a problem with the dough?" The reason being the water has to be heated up first when the machine starts its initial cycle. Adding warm water does not speed up the timed process. Some machines allow immediate kneading on homemade cycle or a mixing only cycle. The old machines requirements are standard - just follow them. As long as you have flour, etc added above the water and the yeast added on top of flour and not added to water, things should work just as whatever your machine requirements has worked for you. This is the easiest full proof recipe on the internet using a bread machine. I personally prefer butter so the only substitute made to the oil is all I ever do. Turns out perfect every time.

I have a question. All my bread machine (it's about 20 years old but still works fine) recipes call for the liquids first what is the purpose of this and is it going to create a problem with the dough?

  3. Jackie REVIEW:

These were wonderful! Next time I will double the sauce I think, but otherwise these were perfect!

  4. Sammy13 REVIEW:

I used the cinnabon frosting from this website on these rolls. Major success! Easy to make too.

  5. Steph REVIEW:

These turned out perfect! Dough was easy to work with and the topping tasted exactly like one my mom used to make. I can't have nuts, so I added diced up apple, and it worked out perfectly!

Best sticky buns I have ever had . Better then anything you can buy in a store .

  7. Ralgrl REVIEW:

These are the best ever sticky buns. I am not the best baker and being able to use the bread maker I am now a pro. I have had no problem with this recipe and now my grown kids are asked for me to bring my bread make when I travel to their houses. Makes me feel like the Mom again. Thank you so much for sharing this wonderful delight.

  8. Guest Foodie REVIEW:

I've tried 5 recipes for sticky buns so far (the one stipulation being that the dough can be prepared in a bread machine to save time) and this one is THE BEST! Fail proof! Very light and fluffy bread and the sauce is great. I did double the sauce and it was perfect. I'm so glad I found this, thanks to whoever submitted it. :)

this was a very easy recipe, the dough was nice to work with after removing it from the breadmaker. I've been looking for an easy cinnamon roll recipe and I think I've found it!
