The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

ingredients
1 whole chicken, cut up in small pieces without the skin
salt to taste
chilies to taste
3/4 teaspoon turmeric
1 1/2 cup yogurt
1 tablespoon garlic powder
2 large green bell peppers
1 piece (1 inch size) ginger, cut in very thin strips
3 large tomatoes
2 tablespoons oil
1 bunch cilantro, washed and cut up
directions
Heat the oil, add chicken and garlic powder and fry for 2 minutes. Add salt, red chilies and turmeric, then fry for another 5 minutes.
In a separate pan, heat up 1 serving spoonful of oil. Fry the green chilies and ginger until golden brown. Add the mixture in the chicken, stir fry for another 5 minutes.
Add yogurt and keep frying on high heat, keep stirring as yogurt tend to burn to fast. After 5 minutes turn the burner down to low heat and let it cook for 10 minutes.
Before serving, sprinkle on some cut up cilantro. Serve with pita bread.
