The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.
Rendered Duck With Spicy Asian Glaze

ingredients
4 boneless duck breasts with skin on
1 red bell pepper, julienned
1 spanish onion julienned
1/2 carrot julienned
4 shiitake mushrooms julienned
Asian Sauce
1 teaspoon simbal (asian chili sauce)
3 teaspoons tomato ketchup
2 teaspoons brown sugar
directions
Render duck breasts (skin down first) in a non-stick pan until golden brown; flip, remove and cook in oven for 10-15 minutes at 400 degrees F (save fat from duck).
In same pan throw in julienned vegetables cook until golden brown. Remove from the heat.
Add sauce and incorporate with vegetables.
