It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).

Seasoned shrimp + homemade alfredo sauce + bacon = a quick and delicious dinner!

fettuccine noodles (or your favorite pasta)
2 pounds shrimp
1 medium onion
6 cloves garlic
1 cup butter or margarine
1 tablespoon Tabasco sauce
1/2 cup green onions
1 1/3 cup Parmesan cheese
3 cups whipping cream
1 pound cooked bacon
salt
black pepper
garlic powder
onion powder
cayenne pepper
Cook fettuccine noodles.
Saute onion and garlic in butter until transparent. Add shrimp, seasonings, and Tabasco sauce and cook for five minutes.
Remove shrimp and set aside. Add green onions, Parmesan cheese, and whipping cream and cook, stirring occasionally, until thick. (About 10-20 minutes).
Add bacon. Stir shrimp back in to sauce and pour over noodles.
For a less spicy version, omit the Tabasco sauce and red pepper

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

This recipe is AWESOME! I am one of those cooks that goes by sight, not measurements. A little bit of cornstarch in the sauce makes it a little thicker. Serve this with a nice glass of wine, some garlic bread and a green vegetable.
