The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

This is a great recipe just as it stands, but I decided to kick it up a bit by adding a little red pepper flakes and a dash of Dijon mustard. I put it over purple califlower and it looked so pretty. (An easy recipe dressed up)
