ingredients

2 eggs
3 tablespoons melted butter
2 cups brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
4 cups sifted flour
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups buttermilk
1 cup chopped walnuts

directions

Beat eggs. Add sugar slowly. Add butter. Sift flour, soda, baking powder and salt. Add to mixture alternately with adding the buttermilk. Add nuts. Stir enough to stick together.

Place in 2 greased and floured bread pans. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes.
