Keeping a can of frozen orange juice concentrate in the freezer means you can make more than just orange juice. Try it in a variety of orange-flavored recipes.

This fluffy, braided loaf is a fun project as well as a delicious one. It's made with a blend of whole wheat and white flours, and thick-cut slices are particularly good for making french toast or drizzling with honey.
9 ounces whole wheat flour
18 ounces white flour
1 tablespoon salt
1/2 teaspoon sugar
1 package yeast
3 tablespoons oil
2 1/8 cups lukewarm water
Pour flours into a bowl. Add yeast and sugar. Mix the oil and water together and add to flours and let rise for 10 minutes. Add the salt.
Knead all of it into a dough. Separate into 3 pieces and braid them into a braid. Put on cookie sheet and brush with milk.
Put into a 200 degrees F oven and let rise again. Then put oven on 375 degrees F and bake for 30 minutes.

Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

THIS RECIPE SOUNDS SO GOOD AND EASY. WOULD LOVE TO TRY IT.BUT DO YOU USE RAPID RISE YEAST OR THE REGULAR ACTIVE DRY YEAST?? IT'S NOT MENTIONED. PLEASE CLARIFY. THANK YOU.
Unless a recipe specifically says to use anything other than active dry yeast you should assume it uses active dry yeast as this is the most commonly used ingredient.
