ingredients
4 cups wholemeal flour
1 cup white flour
1/2 cup wheat bran
1 teaspoon bread soda or baking soda
2 1/2 cups sour milk or buttermilk
1 teaspoon salt
directions
Mix dry ingredients very well. Moisten with the sour milk. Knead lightly, forming into a round and mark with a cross.
Bake 30-45 minutes in a fairly hot oven (about 425 degrees F).
