Burnt-End Sandwiches Recipe

Ingredients:
1 can (15-ounce size) tomato sauce*
1 cup blackstrap molasses or dark-flavored molasses
1 can (4-1/2-ounce size) diced green chili or jalapeno peppers, drained
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup cider vinegar
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon onion powder
4 cups coarsely chopped end pieces of roast turkey, pork shoulder, beef brisket, and/or ham
8 warm kaiser rolls
Directions:
In a saucepan, mix tomato sauce, molasses, peppers, water, vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, mustard, garlic powder, and onion powder. Stir in your choice of meat. Bring the mixture to boiling. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
Split rolls. Ladle meat mixture onto rolls. Serve with forks.
