8 ounces sliced bacon
1/2 cup salad oil
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
3 red apples, cored, cut into bite-size pieces
1 small head lettuce, torn
1 cup croutons
3 green onions, sliced
In a large skillet, cook bacon until crisp. Remove from pan; drain on paper towels. Crumble bacon; set aside.
In a large bowl, combine oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Add apples; toss to coat. Add lettuce, croutons, green onions and bacon. Toss until combined.

I loved the simplicity of this recipe yet the combination of the ingredients just really worked well and made it taste better than I imagined it would. I didn't change a thing. You could always add additional toppings or seasonings but I was quite pleased with it as written.
