A can of cream of mushroom soup can be a real dinner saver. It works great in casseroles and can turn into a sauce or gravy in a pinch.

1 package (18.25 ounce size) super moist Devil's food cake mix
1 1/3 cup water
1/2 cup vegetable oil, PLUS"PLUS" means this ingredient in addition to the one on the next line, often with divided uses
2 teaspoons vegetable oil
3 eggs
2 medium bananas, finely chopped
1 bag (14 ounce size) caramels, unwrapped
1/2 cup evaporated milk
1 1/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips, divided
1 cup chopped pecans
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Lightly spray, bottom only, 13x9-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
Beat cake mix, water, 1/2 cup oil and eggs in large bowl on low speed 1 minute, scraping bowl as needed. Pour half the batter into the pan. Bake 25 minutes.
Heat caramels and evaporated milk in saucepan over medium heat, stir frequently, until melted and smooth. Stir in pecans. Sprinkle warm cake evenly with bananas. Pour caramel mixture over bananas. Sprinkle with 1 cup chocolate chips. Carefully spread remaining batter over top. Bake an additional 30 minutes.
Melt over low heat, remaining chocolate chips and remaining oil in small saucepan. Stir constantly until smooth. Drizzle over cake. Cool 20 minutes.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

I made this cake for my family, it was so good. Especially when still warm. It was easy to make and took no time at all.
