Do we use the ingredients called for on the box of cake mix? Because otherwise there is no egg or oil in this recipe. I see it says it doesn't rise like a normal cake - so does that mean no to following the box directions? Just add everything listed here instead?

I used a regular yellow cake mix and mixed it according to the directions on the box except I used one cup of pineapple juice in place of the water and then added the fruit. I omitted the flour. I baked in a ring style bundt pan and when cooled placed on a serving platter and filled the center with fresh berries and served with Cool Whip on the side. Everyone loved it and it was very moist.

I wonder if there is a way to make this cake more moist? When making it I questioned no eggs, no oil, and my cake turned out quite dry. The flavor is nice. I did a pineapple glaze with powdered sugar, a little butter and reserved pineapple juice.
