Thin Crepes With Red Berry Compote

Crepes
3/4 cup flour
3/4 cup milk
1/3 cup cream
2 tablespoons sugar
1 pinch salt
3 eggs
3 tablespoons melted butter or margarine
Red Berry Compote
10 ounces red plums
1/2 pound red currants
1/2 pound raspberries
1/3 cup water
3/4 cup sugar
directions
Beat together flour, milk, cream, sugar and salt to a lump-free batter. Add eggs and melted fat and beat until smooth. Bake thin crepes or small pancakes. Fold them up and serve with red berry compote.
Split the plums and remove the stones. Trim the red currants. Bring water and sugar to a boil and add fruit and berries. Boil slowly, covered, until soft. Set aside and let cool slightly.
Stir in the raspberries and chill. Serve with the crepes and a dab of whipped cream.
