ingredients
2 pounds ground turkey meat
OR
24 ounces cooked turkey
1 1/2 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped green bell pepper
3 cloves garlic
2 cans (28 ounce size) low sodium tomatoes in puree, chopped
2 cups water
1 can (6 ounce size) low sodium tomato paste
8 teaspoons low sodium beef bouillon
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 tablespoon cumin
2 teaspoons oregano leaves
2 teaspoons sugar
1/2 cup dried lentils
2 cans kidney beans, drained and rinsed
directions
In large kettle, brown turkey and pour off fat.
Add onion, green pepper, and garlic. Cook and stir until tender. Add remaining ingredients. Cover. Bring to boil.
Reduce heat and simmer for 1 1/2 hours.
