This iconic whiskey is a "Jack of all trades" when it comes to cooking. Toss it in some pasta, as a savory dipping sauce, and even bake it into something sweet.

There's nothing like homemade bread to make morning toasts and deli sandwiches, and a good rye loaf is a cinch in the bread machine. The one-two punch of dill pickle brine and dill weed brings an unmistakable flavor and aroma to the rye.

3/4 cup water
1 cup dill pickle brine
1 whole egg
2 tablespoons shortening
3 cups bread flour
1 1/2 cup rye flour
2 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 teaspoon salt
1 tablespoon fresh dill weed
1 1/2 teaspoon caraway seed
3 teaspoons yeast
Place all ingredients in your machine in the order specified by your machine's manufacturer. Select the basic or white cycle and press start.
