If you like spicy food then these pork steaks are right up your alley. Pork is marinated in a mixture of adobo seasoning, fresh jalapenos, lime juice, and cilantro. You can also pan-fry or broil the pork if it's not grilling season.

6 pork steaks, 3/4 inch thick
1 teaspoon adobo seasoning (or to taste)
3 medium limes, juiced
2 jalapeno peppers, seeded and minced
1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
Season the pork with the adobo seasoning.
In a zip-top bag, combine the lime juice, jalapenos, and cilantro. Add the pork. Seal the bag and turn to coat the pork in the marinade.
Refrigerate for 30-60 minutes.
Meanwhile, preheat the grill to medium-hot.
Remove the pork from the marinade.
Place pork on grill and cook for 6-8 minutes or until medium-rare. Remove the marinated pork steaks from the grill and cover with foil for 5 minutes before serving. The pork will be medium after sitting.

Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.
