ingredients

6 pork steaks (1/4 to 1/2-inch thick)
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup honey
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
2 teaspoons onions, minced

directions

Combine the soy sauce, honey, ginger, and onions in a zip-top bag.

Add the pork steaks to the marinade. Seal the bag, turn to coat the pork with the marinade. Place in the refrigerator overnight. Turn the bag occasionally.

When ready to cook, heat the grill to medium-high heat.

Remove the pork from the marinade. Place the pork on the hot grill about 8 inches from the coals. Grill for 30 minutes, turning occasionally, until the pork is cooked through.

Serve hot.

To bake in an oven: Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Place the pork on a rack in a baking pan and bake for 50 minutes, basting occasionally with the drippings in the bottom of the pan.
