30-60 minutes
ingredients
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup sugar
2 egg yolks
2 cups all-purpose flour
18 ounces orange marmalade or apricot preserves
3/4 cup chopped pecans
directions
Cream butter and sugar together. Add egg yolks. Add flour and mix with a fork until pastry consistency. Set aside 1/4 cup of this mixture.
Press the remainder of this mixture on the bottom and sides of a 10 x 15 x 1/2 inch rimmed (jellyroll) pan. Spread with marmalade or preserves.
Sprinkle with chopped nuts. Sprinkle the 1/4 cup of pastry mix over nuts.
Bake in a 325 degrees F oven for 30 minutes or until pastry is lightly browned.
Let cool for 5-10 minutes and cut into squares while warm.
These may be frozen. Good for morning brunch or morning coffee.
