ingredients
2 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/4 cup unsulfured molasses
2 cups buttermilk
1 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease and flour a loaf pan.
In a large bowl, stir together dry ingredients. Carefully stir in remaining ingredients until just combined.
Pour batter into loaf pan and bake on center oven rack for about 1 hour or until tester comes out clean. Cool before turning out and slicing.
