5 eggs, beaten
3/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon baking powder
1 loaf (10 to 12 ounce size) French or Italian bread, cut into 1 inch thick slices
1 package (16 ounce size) frozen strawberries, thawed
4 bananas, sliced 1/2 inch thick
1/4 cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon sugar
directions
Mix eggs, milk, vanilla and baking powder and pour over bread to soak. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight.
Heat oven to 450 degrees F. Coat bottom of a 9 by 13 inch pan with cooking spray.
Mix berries, juice from berries, and bananas and put in pan. Sprinkle with sugar. Top with soaked bread slices. Sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar.
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden. Let stand 5 minutes.
