This croissant French toast is the perfect breakfast treat. It is made by soaking buttery croissants in a mixture of Grand Marnier, orange juice and eggs, then frying to golden perfection.

24 eggs
2 2/3 cups orange juice
1 1/3 half and half
3/4 cup Grand Marnier
1 cup sugar
1/4 cup orange zest
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
18 slightly stale croissants, sliced in half horizontally
In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, orange juice, Grand Marnier, sugar, orange zest, vanilla, and nutmeg until uniform in color.
Heat a griddle over medium heat. Add butter as needed to keep it greased.
Dip each croissant half in the batter, coating completely but not letting it soak in the mixture. Place each half on the heated griddle, cut-side up. Cook until browned then flip over and cook the other side until browned.
Serve hot with warm syrup or other desired toppings.
