ingredients
1/2 watermelon, seeded
1/4 cup mint leaves
8 whole fresh mint leaves
3 tablespoons grenadine
crushed ice
8 slices pared kiwifruit
directions
Using a melon baller, scoop out 8 melon balls from watermelon. Remove remaining watermelon pulp down to white of rind. Cut eight (2 x 1/4-inch) strips of rind.
Puree watermelon pulp and 1/4 cup mint. Add grenadine. Mix. Pour into glasses filled with crushed ice.
At one end of each of 8 long bamboo skewers, thread mint leaf, watermelon rind, watermelon ball and kiwifruit slice. Insert other end of skewers into glasses.
