ingredients
6 eggs (separated)
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 cup water
1 1/2 cup sugar
1 cup flour
directions
Beat egg whites until frothy. Add cream of tartar and continue beating until stiff peaks form. Beat egg yolks until lemon colored.
Mix water and sugar in sauce pan and bring to a boil until it reaches thread stage (230-234 degrees F). Slowly add syrup to egg whites while beating. Fold in beaten egg yolks. Fold in flour.
Pour into ungreased tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 45 minutes to 1 hour until done.
