ingredients
2 cups flour
2 cups sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon almond flavoring
6 egg whites
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup lukewarm water
directions
Sift flour, sugar and salt together 6 times. Add 1 cup lukewarm water to the above. Beat until well blended. Add vanilla and almond flavoring.
Beat egg whites, cream of tartar and baking powder until stands in peaks. Add egg whites to the first mixture by folding in gently.
Bake in layers or long oblong 9" x 13" pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for around 30 minutes.
