30-60 minutes
ingredients
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 pound margarine, softened
2/3 cup granulated sugar
2/3 cup firmly packed dark brown sugar
1 egg
1 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 package (12 ounce size) semisweet chocolate chips
1 package (12 ounce size) white chocolate chips
directions
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Grease baking sheets and set aside.
In a medium bowl, with electric mixer, beat softened margarine and sugars until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes. Beat in egg and vanilla, scraping sides occasionally.
Gradually beat in flour mixture until blended. Stir in 1 cup each of the semi-sweet and white chocolate chips. On prepared baking sheets, drop dough by heaping tablespoonfuls, 2 inches apart.
Bake 10 minutes or until golden. On wire rack, let stand 2 minutes. Remove from sheets and cool completely.
For "zebra" drizzle, melt remaining semi-sweet and white chocolate chips separately, then drizzle over cookies in stripes.
