Pizza night is always a favorite, especially when you have great tasting pizza from some of the most popular restaurants.

The Kahlua adds a unique flavor to these cookies that makes them stand out from your average chocolate chip cookie. With just a few simple ingredients, you can have these cookies ready in no time.
2 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup butter-flavored shortening
2 eggs
1/4 cup Kahlua coffee-flavored liqueur
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
12 ounces semisweet chocolate chips
1/2 cup coarsely chopped pecans, optional
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F. Grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
Combine the flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl and mix well.
In a mixing bowl, combine the sugar, brown sugar, and shortening with an electric mixer on low speed. Add the eggs, one at a time, scraping down the bowl after each addition. Add the Kahlua and vanilla.
With the mixer running, slowly add the flour and mix until blended.
Stir in the chocolate chips and pecans by hand.
Drop the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheet in teaspoonfuls 3-inches apart.
Place in the oven and bake at 375 degrees F for 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
Remove from the oven and let the cookies cool on a rack. Store the cookies in an airtight container.

These cookies are delicious! I've made two batches now, one with hazelnut kahlua and another with cinnamon spice kahlua and both turned out great! I will most likely make them again with yet another different kind of kahlua! Thank you for the recipe! It's delicious!
