1 cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 tablespoon milk
1 egg
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease cookie sheets.
Beat the brown sugar and butter in a large mixing bowl until light and fluffy. Add the milk, egg and vanilla; beat until creamy.
Stir together the flour, baking powder, and salt; gradually add to the sugar mixture and stir until fully incorporated.
Force the dough through a cookie press onto the prepared cookie sheets. Bake at 350 degrees F for 12 to 15 minutes or until set. Don't let the cookies brown.
