ingredients
1 1/4 cup sugar
2 1/4 cups sifted flour
2/3 cup shortening
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/4 teaspoon soda
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup mashed bananas
1 cup chopped walnuts
Cinnamon Sugar Mixture
1/4 cup sugar mixed with
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
directions
Cream sugar, shortening and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat well. Stir in mashed bananas. Sift flour with baking powder, soda and salt, add and mix well. Stir in nuts. Chill 30 minutes.
Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart on greased baking sheet.
Sprinkle sugar/cinnamon mix over unbaked cookies.
Bake in 400 degrees F oven for 8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
