ingredients
3/4 cup sugar
1 envelope unflavored gelatin
6 eggs, separated
2 1/2 cups milk
2 ounces (1 ounce size) unsweetened chocolate, grated
1 cup ground cocktail peanuts
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
directions
In a saucepan, thoroughly stir together sugar and gelatin.
In a bowl, beat egg yolks slightly, add milk and beat together to combine. Stir into gelatin mixture. Add chocolate.
Cook over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, just until mixture comes to a boil. Cool thoroughly at room temperature. Stir in ground peanuts and vanilla.
Beat egg whites until stiff. Fold into chocolate mixture.
Pour into serving dishes and chill until firm. Garnish with sweetened whipped cream and chopped peanuts.
