2 pounds frozen hash brown potatoes, thawed
3/4 cup butter or margarine, melted, divided

The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.
Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

Used this recipe for my daughters wedding reception, added a touch of sour cream, a little more milk (to keep it creamier while being held) and topped with bacon bits instead of the corn flake crumbs. Everyone loved it. I plan on using again at my next daughters reception.
