ingredients
2 cups finely chopped fresh or frozen rhubarb
2 cups finely chopped onion
2 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1 cup vinegar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon allspice
1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
directions
Combine all ingredients in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat for 30 minutes or until thickened, stirring occasionally. Cool; store in the refrigerator. Makes a nice condiment for poultry, pork or beef.
