This iconic whiskey is a "Jack of all trades" when it comes to cooking. Toss it in some pasta, as a savory dipping sauce, and even bake it into something sweet.

I followed the recipe exactly and while it tastes good, all the jars are very watery, nothing thickened. I think there either needs to be more veggies or less cider vinegar. We have to drain the relish to use it. Possibly add cornstarch or something to thicken and give it the correct pickle relish texture? I am cooking at 4200 feet - maybe I needed to boil the mixture longer? I did use pint jars - made a little more than 3 pints and processed for 15 minutes instead of 10 because of the larger jars.
Sounds like you needed to boil longer as it definitely isn't that watery when done.

We love it and everyone in my family loves it. They beg me constantly to make more. There is no comparison to anything you can buy at the store.

Similar to others of this type. It would be nice to be able to copy the complete recipe.
Um, I don't understand. The recipe looks complete to me.
