It may look like a sad little package shoved in the back of your freezer, but frozen spinach actually has a lot of culinary uses (and some may surprise you).

Fast, easy and low in fat. This simple dip is made with non-fat sour cream, fat-free mayo, and gets its extra onion-y flavor from green onions, onion soup mix, and dried minced onion.

1 1/4 cup nonfat sour cream
1/2 cup fat-free mayonnaise
2 tablespoons chopped green onion
1 package (1 ounce size) dry onion soup mix
1/4 teaspoon dried minced onion
salt and pepper, to taste
Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Cover the bowl and place in the refrigerator for at least one hour before serving (can be chilled up to 8 hours).
Stir well before serving.
Serve the french onion dip with chips, crackers, or veggie dippers.

A quick and simple dip that has lots of good oniony flavor. And the low fat part is definitely a plus! Healthiest served with veggies but it definitely goes well with chips too!

This onion dip recipe was perfect today because we didn't have any onion soup mix, but had everything else. Between bouillon cubes, minced onion, parsley flakes and sour cream, you can't tell the difference between this and soup mix. Thank you!
