Made this for a birthday cake and everyone loved it. Instead of vanilla extract in the frosting I used more rootbeer extract. SO GOOD! We decorated it with crushed root beer barrels and then lined up whole ones along the bottom of the cake. It was so cute!

Turned out amazing! Really smells & tastes like a rootbeer float, especially the light & fluffy frosting. My family loved it & said it was one of their favorite cakes ever. I ended up having to bake mine about 45 minutes and it came out perfect.
