Pumpkins aren't just for pies or Halloween decorations. These large, orange gourds - while naturally sweet - also work well in savory dishes. They pair well with poultry and pork (and especially bacon) and their creamy-when-cooked texture blends easily into soups.

Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

I adore this recipe. Made a few tweaks of adding some cinnamon and two cups of oats.

It's even better if you add a can of crushed pineapple in with the cherries.

Wonderfully easy to throw together. Makes a quick desert that everyone will love, especially the kids. Top with whipped cream. You can also make this substituting 2 cans of apple pie mix for the cherry. Sprinkle with cinnamon before you put the cake mix on if you use apple.
