Chocolate Tunnel Of Love Cake

ingredients
1 package (18 ounce size) chocolate cake mix, with pudding
1/3 cup margarine, softened
2 packages (8 ounce size) cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup sugar
2 egg
2 tablespoons margarine
2 ounces semisweet chocolate
2 tablespoons corn syrup
directions
Heat oven to 350 degrees F.
Prepare cake mix according to package directions except use 1/3 cup margarine for the oil. Reserve 1 cup of the batter.
Pour remaining batter into a 12-cup greased and floured, fluted tube pan. Combine cream cheese and sugar, mixing at medium speed. Blend in eggs; pour over batter in pan.
Spoon on the reserved 1 cup of the batter over the cream cheese mixture. Bake for 1 hour. Cool for 30 minutes.
For topping, combine 2 Tbs. margarine, the chocolate and corn syrup in a small saucepan. Cook on low heat until mixture is melted. Pour over cooled cake.
Optional: Top off cake with strawberries.

Cake was too dry ~ I'll substitute 3/4 c. sour cream for 3/4 c. water next time, and bake it for 5 min. less. Also, will substitute 3/4 c. cold coffee for the rest of the water to intensify the flavor. And, will add a little almond extract to the cheese mixture. I DID drizzle an almond extract white glaze over the chocolate glaze; the frosting was the best part of it
