The name, vodka, comes from the Russian phrase zhiznennaia voda, or "water of life". It can be made from everything from potatoes to beets. It's considered to be fairly flavorless which makes it a great liquor for mixed drinks.

ingredients
8 slices bacon, diced
1/4 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons soft butter or margarine
2 cups grated sharp Cheddar cheese
2 teaspoons grated onion
1 pinch cayenne pepper
4 slices white, whole wheat or sour dough bread
directions
Fry bacon until crisp. Drain on paper toweling.
Combine mayonnaise and butter. Stir in cheese, onion and cayenne pepper until well blended. Gently stir in bacon. Spread mixture on slices of bread. Place on buttered baking sheet.
Bake at 350 degrees F for 10 to 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and bread is golden brown.
