ingredients

1 pound calf's liver, cut into serving pieces
4 slices bacon
flour
salt and pepper
1 can condensed onion soup
1/4 cup water

directions

Dredge liver pieces in flour. Fry bacon until crisp; remove from skillet. Brown liver well on both sides in bacon drippings adding salt and pepper to taste.

Add onion soup and water; cover and simmer 15 minutes (no longer) turning once. Serve the gravy on the side; good with mashed potatoes.
