Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.

ingredients
1 pound ground chicken
1 medium onion, chopped
1 egg
1/3 cup dry bread crumbs
1/4 cup milk
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 1/2 cup salsa
2 green onions, thinly sliced
directions
Heat oven to 400 degrees F. Mix all ingredients except salsa and green onions.
Shape into 1-inch balls and place on an ungreased baking sheet. Bake uncovered about 15 minutes or until no longer pink in the center.
Heat meatballs and salsa in a large saucepan until salsa is hot. Place meatballs on a serving platter, sprinkle with green onions and serve with toothpicks.
