Meatballs In A Zesty Champagne Sauce

ingredients
1 pound ground beef (or 1/3 beef, 1/3 pork and 1/3 veal)
2 tablespoons butter
salt
SAUCE
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup grape jelly
1/2 cup champagne or port wine
directions
For Meatballs: Add salt to meat. Form into meatballs. Brown in butter and set aside.
For Sauce: Mix ketchup and jelly in small pan. Heat until warm. Add champagne. Heat to evaporate alcohol.
Put meatballs in chaffing dish or heated serving dish. Pour sauce over. Serve hot.
