Flat Crisp Snickerdoodles - CDKitchen.com

ingredients

2 cups soft shortening
3 cups sugar
4 eggs
5 1/2 cups sifted flour
4 teaspoons cream of tartar
2 teaspoons soda
1 teaspoon salt

directions

Combine first three ingredients, then stir in the rest until a dough is formed. Chill dough for 1-2 hours.

Roll into balls the size of walnuts. Roll balls in mixture of sugar and cinnamon. Place on cookie sheet.

Bake at 400 degrees F. for 8-10 minutes. Bake until slightly brown. Let cool a few minutes. Remove to cooling rack.
