Cream butter, icing sugar and vanilla together thoroughly. Add flour. Mix well. Stir in nuts. Shape dough into 1-inch balls. Place on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake at 400 degrees F. for 8 to 12 minutes or until very light golden color. Cool on racks. Roll in sifted icing sugar.
