ingredients
3 large raw white potatoes
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 medium onion, grated
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
1 egg, beaten
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 dash black pepper
directions
Peel and grate potatoes; toss with lemon juice and drain. Combine with remaining ingredients.
Measure out 1/4 to 1/3 cup mixture and form into patties. Place patties into hot oil in skillet; cook until brown. Turn and cook until brown. Serve with eggs and favorite breakfast meat.
