  over 5 hrs

ingredients

1 tablespoon butter
1 cup finely chopped onion
3/4 cup chopped celery
1/4 cup lemon juice
3 tablespoons sugar
3 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup wine vinegar
1 bottle (32 oz size) bottle ketchup
1 tablespoon prepared mustard
salt and pepper
4 pounds beef or pork Texas style ribs or country style ribs

directions

Heat a medium skillet over medium heat. Add the butter, onion, and celery and saute, stirring, until the onion and celery are soft.

Combine the sauteed vegetables, lemon juice, sugar, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, ketchup, and mustard. Add salt and pepper as desired.

Place the ribs in the crockpot. Pour the sauce over the ribs, turning the ribs to coat them completely in the sauce.

Cover the crock pot and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 3 hours or until the ribs are tender.

Serve hot.
