ingredients
1 pound shucked clams or other assorted seafoods
1/2 pound shrimp, small, peeled and deveined
1 pound ocean fish fillets, cut in pieces
1 medium onion, chopped
1/4 cup olive oil
1 can (15 ounce size) tomatoes, undrained
1 green bell pepper, chopped
1 cup white wine
1 cup water, to cover
1/2 teaspoon salt, or to taste
1/2 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
hot cooked rice
directions
Rinse clams and shrimp and set aside with fish fillets.
Lightly saute onion in olive oil in a deep soup pot. Add tomatoes with their liquid; add green peppers. Simmer over low heat for about 10 to 15 minutes. Add fish and seafood; then add white wine and water just to cover.
Season with salt and hot pepper sauce. Cover and cook approximately 15 more minutes. Serve in soup bowls over hot, cooked rice.
