1 tablespoon olive oil
2 teaspoons orange zest
1/3 cup orange juice
1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar
1/3 cup bourbon whiskey
1/2 cup molasses
1/2 cup ketchup
1 tablespoon steak sauce
1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
salt and black pepper, to taste
Tabasco, to taste
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 pinch cloves
1/2 cup finely chopped onion
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breast
Whisk together the olive oil, orange zest, orange juice, vinegar, whiskey, molasses, ketchup, steak sauce, dry mustard, salt, pepper, Tabasco, chili powder, and cloves in a bowl. Mix well. Stir in the onion and garlic and mix well.
Transfer the mixture to a zip-top plastic bag or shallow pan. Add the chicken and turn to coat in the marinade. Let the chicken marinate in the refrigerator for 4-8 hours.
When ready to cook, preheat the grill. Drain the chicken and reserve the marinade. Place the chicken on the grill and cook, turning as needed, until it is cooked through (approximately 20 minutes) basting frequently with the marinade.

We had a bourbon themed dinner party and all of my guests loved this recipe. I marinated the chicken for 8 hours instead of 4. It was very tender and had a wonderful flavor. Will definitely make it again.
