This iconic whiskey is a "Jack of all trades" when it comes to cooking. Toss it in some pasta, as a savory dipping sauce, and even bake it into something sweet.

White sauce might sound odd at first, but folks from Alabama will be the first to tell you that this mayo-based sauce makes for a mean plate of BBQ.

1/3 cup mayonnaise
3 tablespoons sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup cider vinegar
2 boneless skinless chicken breast halves (6 ounces each)
In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise, sugar, salt and pepper; gradually whisk in lemon juice and vinegar.
Pour 1/2 cup marinade into a large resealable plastic bag; add the chicken. Seal bag and turn to coat; refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. Cover and refrigerate remaining marinade for basting.
Drain and discard marinade. Grill chicken, covered, over medium heat for 6-8 minutes on each side or until juices run clear, basting frequently with reserved marinade.

Ah, the unassuming envelope of onion soup mix. It's more than just for onion soup (or dip). It adds tremendous flavor (and convenience) in all these recipes.
What's the secret ingredient in these cakes? Pudding mix. It not only adds flavor but it gives the cake a richer, creamier texture. No one will know your secret ingredient!

I found the chicken came out a little tough. I am not sure if it needed more time to marinade or if I might have over cooked it a little. Will probably try to make again.

It came out kind of tough. I am going to try again, maybe I cooked too long. Flavor was okay. But over shadowed by chewy meat.
Sounds overcooked

Fantastic! Love the Alabama-style barbecue sauce. The chicken was done perfectly. You could use the same sauce recipe on other pieces of chicken (bone in) just make sure to adjust the cooking time as needed.
